Abstract

In this study, In vitro propagation in Rosa centifolia (Rose), Nerium oleander (Kaner), Hibiscus Rosa-sinensis (Gudhal), Tulipa gensneriana (Tulip) from nodal explants. Multiple shoot formation of up to 5 shoots was obtained on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/1 2,4 D and 1 mg/1 BAP. Regenerated shoots cultured on MS medium containing various concentrations of BAP, 2,4 D and sucrose. The 3-week intervals for two consecutive subcultures on this MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l 2,4 D, 1 mg/l BAP shoots readily rooted on 1/4 MS medium devoid of growth regulators.
