Author Guidelines

The following order should be follow in preparation of manuscript

  1. Abstract
  2. Keywords (at least five to six keywords must be given)
  3. Introduction
  4. Materials and Methods (no need to give materials and methods separately)
  5. Results and Discussion (no need to give results and discussion separately)
  6. Conclusion (must be given)
  7. Acknowledgement (if any)
  8. References (strictly as per the IJRBS format)

Note- All the tables, figures, equations and formulas should be given at appropriate place in the manuscript.

Author Guidelines

  • The manuscript must be written in English and in MS Word format (.doc / .docx) and should follow the IJRBS format. Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file.
  • Manuscripts will be accepted with the understanding that they have not been submitted, accepted or published elsewhere. If copyrighted material is used, the author should give prior information to the editor-in-chief and submit the necessary copyright release along with the manuscript. IJRBS will not be responsible for any charges for obtaining the necessary copyright release, if any.
  • All the manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and only the recommended manuscripts by reviewers will be published. Authors may be asked for revision of the manuscript within a stipulated time period.
  • General Instructions
  • Margins 1” from each side (Left, Right, Top and Bottom)
  • No line spacing is allowed in manuscript
  • All headings i.e. Abstract*, Introduction, keywords** etc should be in BOLD and 12 Point font size.

*Abstract – All matter of abstract should be BOLD

** Keywords- Including heading should be in 10 point font size

  • All sub headings should be BOLD and 10 point font size
  • All figures* and tables** should be given at appropriate place (as close as possible to where they are mentioned in the text) and centre aligned in the manuscript. (no need to give tables and figures in the last of manuscript or as a supplementary material)

*Caption of figures should be given at the bottom of figure in BOLD.

e.g. Figure 1: The sun rise

** Caption of tables should be given at the top of table in BOLD.              

e.g. Table 1: The sun rise

  • Mathematical Equations: Authors may create their mathematical equations by using equation editor.
  • Spectra: Spectra should be submitted in the JPEG or GIF format.
  • Statistical Analysis is to be done if necessary. Biological data without statistical analysis cannot be accepted.
  • Nomenclature: Nomenclature for genes and proteins must follow international standards. All gene symbol and loci should be in italics and capital. All chemical, biochemical, and molecular biology nomenclature should be followed by IUBMB recommendation (http://www.chem.qmul.ac.uk/iubmb/). Database for gene or protein sequence or others should be given reference according to EMBL; GenBank, or the Protein Data Bank.

References (Font size 12 point BOLD)

References should be listed at the end of the paper and typed in the following order.Surname and initials followed by the title of the ariticle, name of the journal in regular font or name of the book, volume no., page no., and publication year in Bold in brackets. E.g.

Citations must be numbered consecutively in square brackets1. The list of references should be arranged in the order of citation in text, not in alphabetical order. Reference to journal articles 2, textbooks 3, papers in conference proceedings 4, chapters in books 5, technical reports 6 and theses 7, should provide sufficient information as in the samples. 

Review articles: Review articles should include the extensive data collections with illustrative tables and diagrams. It describes recent advances in biological sciences. Authors should include abstract for the review articles also.

Short communication: Short communications are the one that should present new important findings in a brief form.

Manuscript Processing Charges

There is no charges for the processing of paper but author(s) of each accepted paper is required to pay the publication charges Rs. 2000 (For Indian Authors) and US $ 200 (For Foreign Authors). Before the accepted paper is published we will intimate the fees in the acceptance letter.

Note: Plagiarism (Copying others work) is an act of fraud and treated seriously by IJRBS.If we found the manuscript which you send to us to review is just a copy of other person manuscript we will ask you to do the payment, and then we will reject your manuscript.
